About our Founder, Stanley W. Tutton

I grew up in Tustin, CA and have lived in Orange County since 1962. My business education was obtained from California State University at Fullerton. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree with my emphasis in Marketing Management in 1980. Upon graduation, I entered the computer industry in a sales capacity selling computer supplies to businesses in the Orange County area. For two years previous to entering the insurance industry, I was involved in aviation as a Certified Instrument Flight Instructor, where I met Bob Whalen, who introduced me to the insurance industry. My insurance education includes a Certified Risk Management designation and Certified Insurance Counselor designation. I have served on many insurance carrier producer councils including CNA, Atlantic Mutual, Highlands, and Golden Eagle.

Bill Tutton, Founder and President

In 1982, I joined R.T. Whalen Insurance Agency as an insurance solicitor. I was promoted to Vice President in 1984 and was given the task of automating the agency. Subsequently, Mr. Whalen retired and I was promoted to President and became the managing partner.

I left Whalen to found Tutton Insurance Services, Inc in 1988 and I am still the sole owner. Our model has been to focus on specific lines of insurance and build a solid foundation before venturing into other lines.
